Summary/Abstract: People who su er from coeliac disease cannot receive Holy Communion under the species of bread. e article starts with explaining the characteristics and phenomenon of coeliac dis- ease. en it discusses the possibility of receiving Holy Communion by people with the condition. Finally, it raises the question of admitting persons with coeliac disease to the sacrament of Holy Orders.
