Summary/Abstract: In the article on the basis of the researches by Kolessa, Fylypovych and Krymskyj the main trends in the development of comparative literature in the 1920s are examined. Those scientists represent different directions and methods of comparative literature. The most important of them have contributed to the development of this literary discipline in the 20th century.
