Summary/Abstract: The authoress of the present article touched upon the problems of diachronic descriptionof lexical-semantic system of Russian from Common Slavonic’s up to the modern state onthe basis of research of genetically close lexicon united in derivational, root and etymologicalfamilies are considered. The authoress proved the opportunity and necessity of distinguishingof a new complex lexical unit – a genetic paradigm in the structure of which etymologicalfamily of words on the basis of a genetic generality and semantic relations their componentsare united.
