Summary/Abstract: CSR is one of the most popular conceptions of management. There are some CSR index on stock exchanges in Europe, for instance RESPECT Index in Poland. The RESPECT Index project is a follow-up of Warsaw Stock Exchange measures taken in 2009 that led to the creation of the first CSR index in the Central and Eastern Europe. It is important that CSR can be the method of development for listed companies. It can also be the source of competitive advantage. The article analyses main benefits of CSR in listed companies. Moreover, it presents the concept of CSR and the usage of CSR in listed companies.
