Summary/Abstract: One of the trends, which is dynamically developing in 21st century, is gamification. Although it is linked with fun and pleasure, it is increasingly being used in many aspects of the enterprise activity. Its specificity, based on competition, awards, distinctions and rankings, affects the growth of motivation and engagement, as well as on the efficiency of employees. Gamification has now a crucial meaning for the development of methods used in different areas of human capital management. The aim of the paper is to present the possibilities of applying gamification in the recruitment process. At the outset, the concept of gamification has been defined as well as the description of the elements of mechanics and dynamics of games has been done. Then the examples of implementation of gamification in recruitment in foreign and Polish companies have been presented. In the conclusion the possibilities and limitations of gamification development in staff recruitment in contemporary organizations have been pointed.
