Summary/Abstract: Our recent research on lacanian clinic in educational sciences hightlights strong correlations between lacanian conceptions of education and master discourse: the symbolic alienation to the Other implies the autonomy of the subject to knowledge and social bond. But what about in terms of symbolic rearrangments at work in the contemporary fabric of social ties, marked by the decline of institutions and authority figures to universal claims? What about in time of capitalism, and science, as dominant discourse? To answer these questions, we methodically reviewed the entire lacanian corpus to bring out relevant occurrences on science. We discuss these results by comparing them with the data from our initial research.
