Summary/Abstract: The Industrial Monuments Route is an excellent example of a well-prepared tourism product, which positively influences creation of Silesia’s image by attracting more and more fans of the industrial legacy. It also changes the awareness of the local community, who spots the chance of region’s development provided by tourism. Silesia that used to be seen in a stereotypical, negative way, now gained an interesting offer, which allows listening to the hum of working machines as well as meeting enthusiasts of technology’s history, who share their enormous knowledge with the visitors, while they experience magic of the industrial legacy.
