Summary/Abstract: Ion Călugăru’s diary is still unknown to the majority of the readers. The 46 th unique notebooks will be published in very difficult conditions such as:a) in the first place, we take into consideration the diary’s huge amount pieces of information;b) in the second place, this diary refers to more private aspects of life than to the author’s literay works. Taking into consideration these two reasons, the diary seems to be uninteresting. An important aspect is the author’s dual condition. When he meets some people, he seems to be friendly, but when he starts writing, his attitude towards life, society, people changes into a different way. Maybe, Ion Călugăru’s diary will be published some day, but we don’t know that for very sure. We’ll be able to understand Călugăru’s life studying his conditions of living and the society of that period of time.
