Summary/Abstract: The paper is an attempt to follow the media stream in the course of one month to outline the main ideological massages. Using the method of the critical discourse analysis 10 most popular editions were analyzed with special emphasis on the press designed for the youth audience. The period was chosen to coincide with the cult media event – “VIP brother” on Nova TV which was meant to present the atmosphere of socialism. The analysis outlined the following main massages: justification of the totalitarian regime using direct propaganda and new postmodern strategies; hate language to Roma, Turks and Jews; demonization of Islam relating it to black magic and underground criminal world; propaganda of esotericism at the expense of the traditional Christianity and Islam.
