Notes its specificity as well as the impact, achievements and development trends of the foreign military medicine over the Bulgarian one. In the text are discussed specifications in its development which were influenced by socio-economic and military history of Bulgaria in the years after the Liberation War from 1877 to 1878. On the basis of achieved results and specific requirements for military medicine the author analyzes the impact and interaction of the military medicine over the civilian medicine.
