Summary/Abstract: In today Bulgaria is a decrease in the age of birth. Studies in the last decade show that the age of adolescents who begin sexual activity decreases and the intensity is among girls. The sexual culture and risky sexual behavior are important factors for unintended pregnancy, abortions and sexually transmitted infections. The aim is to introduce a new approach in the formation of sexual culture among adolescents, creating a health education program with the main participation of midwives in training adolescents. A survey was conducted among students in several schools in Sliven. It gives an idea about the knowledge and behavior of adolescents on sexual intercourse and hygiene risks of unwanted pregnancy and sexually transmitted infection, ways of prevention and information there need to establish such a program. Analysis of the results shows that „although proudly say that we have entered the 21st century sexual culture of young girls and boys in Bulgaria is low. The formation of sexual culture among adolescents is a complex issue where early, timely sex education among them, will significantly increase the level of their knowledge about sex. The parents and medical professionals – midwives and nurses in schools have the primary role of this education.
