Material stimulation of the Soviet intelligentsia during the Great Patriotic War

Summary/Abstract: On the basis of the analysis of archival documents and the published sources activities of the state for providing with a salary of representatives of various specialties during the Great Patriotic War are considered. Special attention is paid to dynamics of salaries of research, educational, cultural institutions staff and engineers. The author comes to conclusion that the Soviet authorities constantly sought to raise the salary of intelligentsia throughout the whole war considering it a guarantee of successful fight against the enemy.
