The Love of Man of God

Summary/Abstract: The article is dedicated to the concepts of love in the Life of St. Alexius Man of God. It describes the mechanisms to generate suggestions in hagiographical texts and in particular those patterns of saintliness, which the history of Alexius contains, and how they articulate the love as the essential condition of human life. The main thesis in the article is that in the Life of Alexius are presented various manifestations of love – love in the family system and love for God. The love, which is decisive for the life of the saint is different, because its experience does not depend on any external factors and events, and it is the basis of existence of the Man of God Alexius.
