Summary/Abstract: Valorisation of periods of storage of documents is a subjective process, but it is done on the basis of objective scientific criteria. The entire process takes place on the basis of applicable legal provisions. Valuation of documents is a delicate activity in area of archiving and requires the necessary qualifications and experience. Valuation process is irreversible and because of that it requires a rigorous approach to the enforcement of applicable legal procedures.
