Summary/Abstract: „The abortion – opinions, attitudes and experiences of adolescents” is a qualitative, descriptive and fundamental research, which brings in front youth’s perceptions on abortion, their experiences and the family climate. Some of the research findings are: the young people who have not resorted to abortion, heard at least once about a case of abortion, or they have been documented from mere curiosity, and they are aware that abortion is a bad thing associated with a crime. Facing an unplanned pregnancy, the boys are guided by the principle „if I care about her”, thereby preventing abortion, while at girls there is no principle “if I care about him”. They conclude firmly „ I am not doing an abortion!” except in the case where the doctor recommend it. Another conclusion of the research was that the families of the young people, who resorted to abortion, do not know about their action even today. This conclusion led to the question: „What educational styles applied in adolescence by parents, favour the abortion option for their children? Thus I designed the quantitative research with the following assumption: if the adolescents think that their parents are adopting „free training” as the predominant educative strategy, then they are favouring the abortion option. The operationalization was realized after the author Dorin Ioan Dolean, where in his work Meseria de parinte (Parent job) he presents types of parenting styles, and we used the questionnaire as data collection instrument. The work mainly addresses to students who are beginners in terms of research methodology and presents some worries of a novice researcher.
