Belarusian-Polish literary relationship: methodological aspects

Summary/Abstract: The article discusses current problems in the methodology of contrastive analysis, and in particular comparative-typological analysis of Belarusian and Polish literature and Polish speaking literature in Belarus. Methodological approaches proposed by Belarusian scholars and writers are analyzed and the most effective methods and techniques are suggested. The question of literary terminology used to name Polish speaking literary directions is also considered. The objectivity of the analysis cooperates with a variety of scientific rules and approaches, and the historical variability of criteria of national belonging of people and literary art.
