The possibility to use information and communication technologies (ICT) in religious education

Summary/Abstract: Ever since computers were introduced at schools, great changes have occurredin the teaching process. Past experiences show that the use of new technologiesin religious education influences the increase of the effectiveness of this process.Modern information and communication technologies may be a great tool to raisethe quality of teaching religious education in schools and to improve the level ofstudents’ involvement in the teaching process. The adaptation of modern technologiesto the school conditions presents an enormous change in schools, involvingthe transition from the use of tools and applications installed on the schoolcomputer to the use of an impressive number of technologies available online.Effective religious education must also urgently find its place in this area.
