The place of individuals in modern understanding of security

Summary/Abstract: The study is devoted to the issues of personal security and its place and importance in the modern understanding of security. First, the concept of security is explained and its basic typologies are presented and next there is made an attempt to define the individuals’ security. Later, threats of human security, particularly, those that are the product of present civilization are described. At the end, issues of international law dedicated to personal security are presented.
