Summary/Abstract: The aim of this article is analyze the regional development in Poland, because it is theme very important and current. Purpose of article is verification of level a regional development in Poland, as well as aspiration for such indication of direction regional development. For realization of purpose they use mainly statistic method, but descriptive method and comparative method too. In the first part of the article they presented theorethical aspects of regional development. Next they showed is analysis of development trend in regions. The last part is attempt of estimate direction of development the regional policy in Poland. The article is preceded by basics, finished with conclusions. It belongs to aim at sustainable development, and boost of competitiveness of regions, but the same competitiveness of whole global economy.
