Summary/Abstract: This paper is an attempt to show religion as some kind of existential truth. It consists of three parts. The first part discussed the specifics of religious knowledge (revelation by signs as a source of religious truth, the way of the assertion of the truth by trust and commitment of life) and the dynamic nature of religious truth (connected with the experience of an individual). The second part presents an existential conception of truth (commitment of the individual in conducting of the particular way of life leading to its transformation, recovering to man the meaning of his life, experiencing the authenticity of his existence). The third part shows the connections between the existential truth and the religious one (the main purpose of the religious truth is to form the personal being leading to establish a personal relationship with God).
