How to speak today about virtues of marital love

Summary/Abstract: The Church unfailingly spreads the Christian concept of marital love as it reflects the truth about humankind. The Church is persistent in the face of ever-changing living conditions, attitudes towards marriage, cultural trends which all create a false image of love. The teachings of unity and inseparability of husband and wife validate the subjectively-interpreted covenant of love and communio personarum. Community of married couples is built on faith, and understood holistically as faithfulness to God, faithfulness to oneself and faithfulness to humankind (community). Marital honesty is built upon clear and righteous conscience, honest marital dialogue and responsibility in contacts with others.
