Summary/Abstract: This article contains information relating to the socio-cultural magazine “Pion”, which was issued in 1933–1939, by the Belvedere party. An interesting graphic design and substantive content were the main determinants of this newsletter. Information on literature, art, history and the broader issues of the culture were included in it. Numerous articles, reports, reviews, the advertisements and promotional materials were also published. Because the “Pion” was a magazine of Sanation (Polish political movement), its main purpose was to influence the reader and to shape particular attitudes and behavior that were consistent with the points of view of the government. The con-tent published in it did not only aim at informing about current events from the world culture, but mainly, this magazine was used as a kind of verbal tool of persuasion in Piłsudski’s hands. However, this does not detract from its overall substantive content.
