Summary/Abstract: The investigation of personal and social determinants of stress-symptomatics in adolescents is particularly actual nowadays. The age problems, on the one hand, and the situation of social transition, on the other hand, lead to serious problems in the psychic and social well-being of adolescents. This study aims at evaluating the personal characteristics (anxiety, impulsiveness, seeking sensation, generalized expectations) and the social support as well as their effects on the post-traumatic stress symptomatic in adolescents. The results point out strong effects of the localization of control and the social support provided by parents on the negative emotional status and stress symptomatics in the examined school children. The possibility the adolescents to go through stress status is very small when these two resources are present.
