Summary/Abstract: The article deals with the cultural heritage evaluations in and out the religious and philosophical literature. The diminishion of the non-orthodox models and their key features found in the Bulgarian and Russian religious philosophers puts in new light the problem of the „difference“ and „repetition“ in the terms of model authors and epochs. The author compares these approaches with the attitude towards the tradition we can meet with the classical Western philosophers like Gadamer, Habermas and Levinas. In the context of a transition towards an open-end culture the evaluations of the totalitarian culture and the contemporary postmodern timelessness are compared. The conclusion that the analysis makes are reduced to the rejection of the organismical model of the culture as a whole, not merely of its historical consequences: the illusions of the linear progress or the wrong path of history.
