Confessional identity in the context of the globalization

Summary/Abstract: This report focuses on the exposure of some identifying markers of the confessional group of Bulgarian Catholics, focusing on the local expression of these markers caused by specific circumstances. Specific territorial scope of ethnological study covers two Catholic parishes of Belene (North Bulgaria) and the fieldwork was carried out during the last two years (2000-2001 ). Entire study, part of which is devoted to the results of this report, also draws on material from various other expeditions (1999-2001).
