Summary/Abstract: The article deals with the problem of socialization of a person by including them into the virtual social world, which is considered as a result of alienation from social reality of a person seeking to overcome the absence of demand for them in society and to get included in social life. The work is aimed at demonstrating that a modern person is “doomed” to endless travel from the actual social reality to the virtual one and vice versa. The following conclusion is made: a person as a product of interaction between virtual and actual social realities remains “defeated” by the very dialectics of alienated and alienating social worlds, thus becoming vulnerable to any kind of social utopia or ideology.
