Summary/Abstract: In this article I connected feudalism, the Orthodox Christian Church and communism. Their physical and historical closeness has clearly left its marks, sometimes making it impossible to see what caused a specific feature. Communism in the form we have seen it in Eastern Europe was not brand new in every aspect. In many things there was continuity, and in many ways there still is continuity. The conflicting world views and images of man between the communist regime and the church was not so great because their views had a common ancestor in feudalism. Central to the social relations is the idea that one group owns everything and pretends to know everything, with exclusive access to the perfect and absolute beauty, while the others are like young dependent children who own nothing and are and will always remain ignorant.
