ON ELECTRONIC VOTING

Summary/Abstract: The present research paper to analyzes the possibility for implementation of the electronic voting in Bulgaria and its compliance with the Bulgarian Constitution and European electoral principles. The author identifies the risks of electronic voting provides workable solutions for them. The author presents a definition of the term “electronic voting”; he asserts electronic voting should be used as an alternative method. Digitalization is one of the main features of the modern society and the possibility for exercising political rights cannot ignore it. Introduction of the electronic voting may create the basis for a new approach towards the modern publicly acceptable governance.
