Summary/Abstract: This paper deals with intellectual and social profile of Bosniacs elite in the first half of 20. Century – the period of gradual disintegration of traditional structure of Bosnian-Herzegovinian society and significant relativization of deep-rooted values and established forms of public ethics. Bosnia and Herzegovina has become the scene of changes in the fields of social life, law, politics and business initiative – changes that did not pass by the spiritual life, moral consciousness and customs. Latest time has brought the ideal of nationalism, democracy and equality which had influence to behaviour of social groups, both as the contents of political activity, and as the means of legitimization and mass manipulation. In those circumstances, Bosniacs elite was in front of great challenges, which were not created only by present processes of modernization, but the need for protection of plain survival of people who were considered by the new structures of power as a relict of capricious history and ballast of the past time.
