Summary/Abstract: The author deals with the problem of both the formation of memory and the production of new identity in the newest state in Europe . namely Kosovo. She identifies the .producers. of memory and the instruments used to form the specific Kosovo nationalism . was it like the Albanian one (heroic) or like the Serbian one (traumatic) ? The legitimizing effords of the elites of the two basic ethnic components in Kosovo have been also analyzed.
