Summary/Abstract: The aim of this study was to examine the causal associations between personality factors (e.g. big five factors) on the one hand, and some work characteristics of the other, and job-related affective well-being and mental health. The results established job control and supportive organizational climate as more predictive for the job-related affective well-being by comparison with the Big Five traits. Most of the measured personality traits had no associations with the job-related affective well-being and mental health’s dimensions. Only Neuroticism had weak associations with the most of the dimensions of the affective well-being. In addition, Consciousness and Agreeableness had weak associations with job-related mental health.
