What Does the "Originary Position" Ideea Mean in The Liberal Political Thought?

Summary/Abstract: In this study we try to identify the scope of the idea of “original position” as it relates to the issue of the neutrality of the liberal state. John Rawls, in his work „A Theory of Justice“, developed a model of an original contractual situation that could be considered as a hypothetical framework where social actors would opt for certain principles regulating a just society. The choice is made under certain conditions intended to guarantee the impartiality and the righteousness of the consequences of the option. My intention is to interpret the idea of “original position” as an artifice of representation capable of shaping in a consistent manner the liberal demand for neutrality.
