Mioriţa laie, laie bucălaie…or on the development and expansion of the individual vocabulary stock of students

Summary/Abstract: In a stage of demythization, a stage in which the ballad Mioriţa and concepts such as the mioritic space, the mioritic spirit, the attitude before death of the Romanian people are reconsidered, to suggest a discussion starting from two very well-known lines doesn’t seem hazardous. Nevertheless, starting from these two lines, we tried to demonstrate the following elements: 1. the role of the affective context in the semantic decoding and 2. the need to approach the lexical level in reading in order to obtain an accurate perception of the poetic image.
