Summary/Abstract: The adolescent self-esteem presupposes multiple aspects of investigation and various approaches. One of those approaches examines the relation with the psychological type. By this opportunity the universal and basic aspects of the adolescent self-esteem could be outlined and studied. This article represents the results of an investigation of adolescent self-esteem and the psychological type. The methods applied are MBTI and Rosenberg Self-esteem scale. The sample includes 8th, 9th, 10th and 11th grade students (n=573). The results confirm the hypothesis that N (Intuitive) and P (Perceiving) types have higher self-esteem, and S (Sensing) and J (Judging) types have a lower self-esteem. The results are consistent with the type theory and the relevant studies.
