Pro-employment Perspective of Informal Carers

Summary/Abstract: In the issue we deal with the agenda on pro-employment perspective of the persons caring for dependent family members on informal basis. We specify the term informal carer (caregiver) taking into account terminology utilised in this area within European and national setting. We argue our utilising of the term pro-employment perspective of informal carers in relation to the term reconciliation of caring and working. We try to conceptualise the agenda on pro-employment perspective of informal carers based on complexity of life spheres, by recognition of the right for pro-employment support as a social and economic right, including the right for adequate conditions for caring. The crucial part of the issue deals with the mentioned agenda within the research analysis. The author mediates some key findings about the agenda from international research projects and continues with the key findings from her own research conducted in 2008. Finally, she formulates intentions for ongoing research in the year 2009 and forthcoming time.
