SOCIAL CAPITAL OF ORPHANS AND CHILDREN WITHOUT PARENTAL CARE AS FACTOR OF SOCIAL SECURITY

Summary/Abstract: The analysis of multiple theoretical approaches employed in the course of the orphans’ social capital study is presented. Results of the empirical research helpful in the analysis of the effect produced by the orphans’ social capital on their social adaptation in conditions of orphanages (on the example of Karelian Republic) and consequently on social security as a whole are provided. 180 orphans from 14 orphanages together with their directors were questioned. Based on the research results a set of recommendations instrumental in prevention of social orphanage and improvement of fatherless children adaptation in conditions of state institutions are proposed
