Summary/Abstract: Considered a new concept until about a decade ago, mobile learning (mLearning) is now regarded as a natural and, in some circumstances, an essential learning technology. The key factors that made this development possible are the continuously decreasing prices and increasing capabilities of the mobile devices and infrastructure, as well as the growing need to be connected and learn anywhere and anytime. The great variety of mobile devices leads to various issues. One of the main technical issues is the need to make learning content available for different devices, which may be a costly and time consuming process. One increasingly popular technology for creating cross-platform content for mobile devices is HTML5, the latest revision of the well-established HTML standard. The purpose of this paper is to present the results of a research on the HTML5 support in selected mLearning tools.
