Summary/Abstract: Globalization, technological explosion and global geopolitical changes have led to proliferation of transnational crime, ensuring more flexibility in dealing with law enforcement bodies. Such a major change had an impact on the extent of economic barriers not only for Europe but also worldwide. This change has opened new avenues for substantial economic development, free movement of people, capital, markets between open economies and totalitarian societies. But these developments have also allowed criminal groups to expand relationships, develop their cooperation in the areas of illicit activities and onerous financial transactions.
