Summary/Abstract: The purpose of the article is to determine new approaches to understanding human capital, ways of its employment, and principles of its estimation because the term “human capital” is used nowadays for the purpose of national wealth estimation. The article proposes some hypotheses based on the assumptions that when considering human capital it is necessary to take into account the type of institutional matrix of the country and the stage of its development. Otherwise the value of the employed person can result in isolation of some countries in international relationships. The assumption about proper use of the concept ‘enterprise capital’ (or any other concept) instead of the concept ‘human capital’ when comparing nations with X and Y institutional matrixes is given in the article.
