Summary/Abstract: In this paper, we propose a hermeneutic interpretation of B.M. Kozyrev’s “Letters about Tyutchev”. This interpretation gives an idea about F.I. Tyutchev’s works as a holistic spiritual life, which is notable for the interest in archaic forms of creative thinking. This allows us to speak about Tyutchev’s lyric poetry as a “single text” (Yu.M. Lotman) in the process of its development since the whole mythopoetic heritage of the poet is characterized by neosyncretism, which is explained by an intuitive resonant consonance between the internal form of the poetry and the ancient ideas about life. We make a conclusion that the hermeneutic interpretation of B.M. Kozyrev’s works reveals not only Tyutchev’s mythopoetic system originated in the understanding of the world by the Milesian philosophers, but also the intertextual relations between the Russian poet’s works and Goethe’s “Faust”.
