“Traditional Polish‑Chinese friendship” or “nice prospect”? Relations between Poland and China

Summary/Abstract: The text is an analysis of Polish‑Chinese relations with a special focus on the period from 1989 to 2012. The article looks at three aspects of the relations: political, economic and cultural. The article provides a description of various organizations that play an important role in raising new possibilities for cooperation between Poland and China. In conclusion the article gives an overall assessment of the relations between the two countries, makes an evaluation of what has been achieved so far and points out possible actions that the countries (especially Poland) should take.
