INCANTATIONS AND OTHER MAGICAL PRACTICES OF ROMA IN MACEDONIA - BETWEEN TRADTION AND RELIGION

Summary/Abstract: The paper has an objective to present the recent situation of the Roma population living in Macedonia regarding incantations and other magical practices. The data has been providet as a result of a field research conducted throughout this year in the largest Roma community in the country and wider-the municipality Shuto Orizari in Skopje. The obtained data is compared to the similar records received at our previous analysis done in 2003-4, and subsequently examined using both folkloristic and cultural study methods.
