Summary/Abstract: Philosophy of Friedrich Nietzsche is constantly connected with the shadow of Nazism. In this work, the author presents causes of the Nazi perception of Nietzsche’s thoughts claiming at the same time that it is not possible to demonstrate a substantive connection of the Nazi ideology with this thought and that this connection is only possible as a result of abuses and skipping of inconvenient fragments. The author focuses in particular on the interpretation of a overman category in the Nietzsche’s philosophy showing that any attempts to perceive behind this category of a predatory and amoral creature are extremely misguided. For the author, the key to a proper understanding of the overman category is another, extremely important and mysterious Nietzsche’s category: an eternal return.
