Summary/Abstract: The heroine of this article is Brenda Walker,an Englishwoman who settled in Romania and become a "Romanian-English"she has been a friend of Romania for many years and all this time she helped a lot of Romanian writers, by making them known in the Anglo-Saxon literary circles and readers. She owned a publishing house in London "Forest books", where a lot of Romanian and other East-European writers were published (Marin Sorescu, Mircea Dinescu, and Ana Blandiana). Her latest translation of Lucian Blaga's Complete Poetical Works was a successful one, Brenda Walker is also a talented poetess, in her volume "Mind Games"a whole chapter is dedicated to Romania (The Romanian Sequence)
