Summary/Abstract: This paper examines the abilities of children second and third grade of Bulgarian common school to use correctly adjectives in Bulgarian literary language. 239 children from 4 different administrative regions were examined. Native mother-tongues of the children were Bulgarian, Turkish and Roma languages. Statistical and analytic methods were applied, including cluster analysis and descriptive statistics. The results demonstrate that children who have problems with using literary Bulgarian adjectives do not have the same problems acquiring English language in school.
