Summary/Abstract: This text deals with the issue of singing, as a human act with soteriological fi nality. People’s salva-tion is also offered by praising God through songs. The author attempts an interpretation with implications of both liturgical and psaltic natures, to a most theological observation of John Chrys-ostom (~354-407) about the three young men in the fi ery furnace. The text deals with aspects about religious hymns, organized singing during cultic celebration and psaltic art.
