Regulations on handover of the public archival records in the Republic of Srpska

Summary/Abstract: We can say that handover of archival records is one of the most important function of the Archives and that in the territory of the Republic of Srpska it is carried out in accordance with the Law on Archival Activities, Rule Book on Conditions and Ways of Transfer of Public Archival Records between Holders and the Archives of the Republic of Srpska and the Rules on Delivery Procedure of Film Archival Records and Audio – Visual Works. Shortage of adequate space is a neuralgic point of the Archives of the Republic of Srpska. They are aware that they do not have suitable space or equipment to enhance the storage of archival records and create conditions for this procedure, which is currently sporadic and unplanned, to become a systematic one.
