On the persons´naming in Old Church Slavonic

Summary/Abstract: The article deals with naming persons in Old Church Slavonic. The determination of manners of nomination in this language is related to dividing its lexical inventory into two parts: the “old” lexicon borrowed from primitive Slavic discourse and the “new” bookish lexicon created by medieval Slavic bookmen in different manners. The elucidation of status of the lexeme reveals various kinds of intricate problems.
