Summary/Abstract: Romania is a country whose geographical position gives it landforms such as mountains, hills, and plains, which offer important economic resources. We must also not forget that our country borders the Black Sea, which offers an important resource, namely the sea and water transport, the cheapest and most efficient way for the global economy to develop and spread. Civil and military navigation are two major economic hubs for any country located in areas with flowing waters, seas, oceans, or lakes, which is why it is important to have infrastructure that allows them to operate in conditions of maximum safety. Civil navigation and water transport are responsible for transporting over 80% of the goods and products produced worldwide today. However, there are phenomena in navigation that can disrupt its smooth running: sinkings, strandings, acts of piracy and robbery on the "high seas," illegal boarding, or shipwrecks, phenomena that endanger both the ship and its cargo, as well as the lives of the sailors or passengers on board. The way these communication systems are used often makes the difference between life and death. Therefore, human life remains the most important resource that humanity currently possesses.Regardless of the field to which it refers, professional deontology is the one that regulates the activity, ensures the maintenance of high standards of quality and professional integrity, establishes directions regarding professional responsibility towards all those involved in the activity, identifies principles and standards of behavior and contributes to continuous professional training. In this context, medical deontology encompasses the duties, norms and rules that doctors must respect in the exercise of their profession, in their relationship with patients, with other medical professionals, and with society as a whole. Starting with 2026, the Romanian Code of Medical Deontology will bring significant changes to the profession, in full accordance with European standards and current challenges in medical practice. Without claiming an exhaustive approach, through this article, we will capture the new coordinates of the Romanian Code of Medical Deontology, which is intended to be a modern instrument, adapted to current medicine.Regardless of the field to which it refers, professional deontology is the one that regulates the activity, ensures the maintenance of high standards of quality and professional integrity, establishes directions regarding professional responsibility towards all those involved in the activity, identifies principles and standards of behavior and contributes to continuous professional training.
