Summary/Abstract: The Italian vocal technique (bel canto), as a central part of the Western vocal tradition, has a profound influence on global vocal education. With the modernization of music education in China, institutions like the Shanghai Conservatory of Music actively absorb and integrate these traditional techniques to enhance the performance level of their students. The aim of this article is to explore the application of Italian vocal techniques at the Shanghai Conservatory of Music and analyze how the institution combines Italian traditional techniques with local educational characteristics to cultivate vocal talents with an international perspective.
